This week we are highlighting our Seattle technician, Ian H. If you are living in Seattle, Washington, or any of the surrounding neighborhoods or cities and you book an appointment with Wrench, you might get lucky enough to score an auto repair or maintenance service with Ian. Customers describe him as professional, informative, thorough, and trustworthy! And we agree with all of those qualities!
Ian has been working in the automotive industry for about 12 years, the last 1.5 years with Wrench. When he was younger, he didn't have a specific moment where he became interested in cars. Looking back, he has always been interested in them. When he was in 2nd or 3rd grade, he can remember standing on the sidewalk with a friend calling out the make and model of cars driving by before they passed. From that point on, it went from a little game to more of an obsession. Don't believe us? Just ask his wife!
In the 1.5 years that Ian has been working with us, he has performed hundreds of auto repair and maintenance services. His most memorable service call was the first job he ever had with Wrench.
"It was just simple a brake pad replacement and I had the first day jitters. The experience was just awesome! The customer was super nice and everything went great! I was able to get the job done in a timely manner, answer some questions about Wrench, and very much impress the customer with the whole mobile auto repair service side of things. He was so happy, he said he will never go anywhere else for auto repair and maintenance, and wanted me specifically only to repair and service his cars from now on. And to this day, I've serviced his cars multiple times, and always get to catch up on current events. Couldn't ask for a better first job with Wrench!"
Just like that first customer, Ian has plenty of customers that request his services specifically. Want to see why others enjoy his work so much? Book an appointment with Ian and see for yourself!
Since Ian has gained a lot of knowledge from being in the automotive industry for 12 years, we asked him to give our customers a piece of advice to help them in their future endeavors. While it can often be hard to pick just one piece of advice, Ian immediately jumped to vehicle pre-purchase inspections.
"Get a pre-purchase inspection! I have seen so many times where a used car gets purchased, then problems pop up with the vehicle soon after. Buying a used car can be very stressful and overwhelming, I've been there. Many people are unaware of this service. We can go anywhere the car is being sold, even a car lot, and give the vehicle a professional inspection and test drive. This service can avoid major headaches and provide information to the potential buyer about all kinds of things that might get overlooked during the process of buying the car."
If you are need a pre-purchase inspection, book an appointment with Lemon Squad, a Wrench company. Lemon Squad has thousands of mobile inspectors all over the United States, including both Alaska and Hawaii, as well as some locations in Canada!
We asked Ian why he enjoys working at Wrench and responded with a lot of really nice things.
"I love going somewhere and meeting someone new everyday. It's also great to be able to go through the whole repair process with customers, as opposed to just getting a set of keys and a written description of a vehicle issue. I get to hear what's going on straight from the customer, and to help guide them through the entire process."

How To Book An Appointment With One Of Our Automotive Technicians
If you would like to book an appointment with Ian or one of our other fantastic mobile technicians, simply go to the homepage of our website, download our mobile app, or reach out to us via phone call or email. We will be able to help you set up your appointment so you can get back on the road as soon as possible. To get the information we need to properly prepare for your appointment, we will ask you a couple of questions about your car and its needs.
First, we will need to know what kind of car you have. We will ask you for the year, make, and model as well as the VIN and license plate number. This will help us match you up with a mobile mechanic that has experience with your specific kind of vehicle, especially if it is a classic or exotic vehicle. We will also use this information to order the correct parts if you need a service that requires a replacement of any kind.
Then we will need to know what service your car needs. Some car owners know exactly what our mechanic needs to do whether that be a windshield wiper blade replacement or a battery replacement. If you aren't sure what service your car needs, we can perform a diagnostic check in which our mobile mechanic will figure out what is wrong and work with you to come up with a good solution. Sometimes we will be able to repair your car on-site, other times we will need to order specific parts so you will need to book another appointment.
Once we have that information, we will send you an affordable and honest auto repair quote, which will include both a time and cost estimate. You will be able to look over our quote before committing to your auto repair appointment. We will never spring hidden fees on you after the repair, so you can rest assured that the number you see is the number you will end up paying.
When you decide to accept the quote, we will ask you to choose a date, time, and location for your auto repair or maintenance appointment. You will be able to choose any time and location that you prefer, even your home or office! Our mobile mechanic wants your experience to be as enjoyable as possible, so we will come right to your location and get your vehicle up and running as soon as possible as long as you pick a safe and relatively flat location.
Then we will send you a confirmation message and you will be all set for your appointment with one of our fantastic mobile mechanics. During your service, you will be able to do whatever you want whether that be chatting with our tech or relaxing in the comfort of your own home.
